The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia - Melbourne Inc. will host a new

True Italian Taste​ virtual event on Wednesday, 27th September 2022.


The "True Italian Taste" project is funded by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation

and executed by Assocamerestero, in collaboration with the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, to raise awareness of and safeguard authentic Italian food products. "True Italian Taste"

is part of the "Extraordinary Italian Taste" initiative. 

WHAT WILL HAPPEN THROUGHOUT THE VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS?


CHEF PIA GAVA


Chef Pia Gava will join us and lead the virtual Masterclass. 

During the Masterclass, she will prepare, with the participants online, a recipe made with the main ingredient of this True Italian Taste edition: extra virgin olive oil. 


Her family came from Abruzzo, and she learned about the love for Italian food and its culture. Pia wants to share and show her recipes can be created by everyone, as she has already shared in her first cookbook. This was one of the reasons why Pia applied and became a Masterchef 2017 contestant in season 9 and is now continuing her career following her passion for cooking.

EVOO SOMMELIER NICOLA DI NOIA


Nicola di Noia, a professional oil taster, will guide the participants during the oil tasting steps by sharing technical notions and tips about choosing a good quality extra virgin olive oil. 


Mr Di Noia is President of Agriculture Assistance Center - Coldiretti Srl and CEO of Foundation Evoo School, the first Italian school of extra virgin olive oil. He really believes in this project that has as the main aim the teaching of oil's secrets, making it a profession and dignifying the olive oil sector.
